Sheila,
I'm not completely sure what you are asking. Are you looking for advice in promoting the event or in securing sponsorships? In terms of promotion I would talk with the parents and friends of the students and ask for their help in inviting friends. I would also let them know you are looking to secure some sponsorships. If it is the first time you've done an event like that make sure you know how much it cost and how much you are going for. Then ask a couple of local businesses to help sponsor it. I'd start with some of the community banks. Let them know you're have a sign with their logo or announce them on the stage. Those are a couple of ideas. Let me know if I did not answer your question.
Thanks,
Jason

Hi:
Shelia Jordan, I have no way of getting this out like it should be put forth to the public. We're having a concert/gala for our young ladies in my church(A.S.G.H.S.M.O. Assembly,Inc.). These are people of our own community in need of a lot of assistance because of the rural area we live in. There are scholarships that we want to give to these young people, along with gifts and monetary offerings to make sure their focus remain on obtaining the goals set forth for their futures. One has just passed the Florida Bar soon to be a Federal Judge-Marcia Forsett, Tonya White in 3-4 month will receive her Doctor's Degree(PhD), Lerto Mills is to receive her Masters' Degree in Business Administration, Stephanie Battle, Kieanna Hamilton- a young 12 year old pianist(must hear)-winning all kinds of awards, and two young college freshmen Gabrielle Smith and Clarencia Mills[all females] playing classical music-they composed themselves. Oh, and one song-bird Marcy Hamilton(All of ASGHSMO Assembly). There is a elderly gentleman from the Juillard School of Music on program that they will be riding on his coattail to get the audience they need. Can you assist me in the necessary things I need today to get started in the right way?

Respectfully,
Shelia Jordan
