A Small Change is a blog about fundraising. This is a place for non-profits to ask questions about fund development, a place for people seeking work in fundraising, and a place for me to post some ideas and experiences.

Jason Dick: My name is Jason Dick and I live in Redmond, Washington. I work for a local healthcare organization as their Major Gifts Officer.  I’ve worked in healthcare, social services, and education. As you can imagine I do not know everything about fundraising. I decided to create this blog because I have a number of friends that work in small non-profits and have found that one of their biggest obstacles is having enough funding. Feel free to let me know if you have an issue you’d like to be guest blog about. To contact me you can email me at: jasondick@asmallchange.net.

Joe Garecht: Joe is a non-profit executive and fundraising blogger based in Philadelphia, PA, where he is the Executive Director of a non-profit scholarship organization.  He is the creator of The Fundraising Authority, a free source of fundraising advice and tutorials for non-profits of all sizes, and the author of The Silent Auction Handbook.  Joe has been fundraising professionally for over a decade, in both the charitable and political spheres.

Dear Jason,

Thanks for the complement.
Since we all aware about the greatest concern for the ABC4All SIERRA LEONE less previledge. We are still worry about the success of getting Funds for these innocent.

How best can we urgently raise Funds to support?
Can we get an Organisation who will be interested to come to Freetown, Sierra Leone to assess the deplorable situation these victims are facing?
Can we also get volunteers to work with ABC4All SIERRA LEONE?

Jason, the situation of these victims needs urgent attention.

Your effort is greatly needed.

NOTE: The Greatest Sin Of Our Time
Is Not The Few Who Have Destroyed,
But The Many Who Have Remained Silent.

May God Richly Bless Your Efforts.

Best regrads,
Eddie Boston-Mammah.

Jason, thanks for the information. I serve on the board of directors of a local ministry (Life Saver Ministries, My Father’s House). The home offers housing, training, counseling and other support services to young women and teens who are in a crisis pregnancy or young parents. The home has been operating for over ten years, but is finding this year a tough year for raising finances. In addition to the home, we are also in the fund raising/grant stage to develop 5 transitional apartments that will allow the girls to live on their own after leaving My Father House.

Attached is a link to our web site for your reference http://www.lifesaverministries.org

Any advice or help would be appreciated.
